Abraham or Ibrahim is a man mentioned in the Torah, Christian Bible, and the Qur’an.

Abraham is part of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions. These are sometimes called Abrahamic religions.

Christians and Jews believe Jesus is a descendant of Abraham, through his son Isaac, while Muslims believe that Muhammad was a descendant of Abraham, through his other son, Ismail.

In Jewish tradition, Abraham is the first Patriarch.

Ibrahim appears in 35 chapters of the Qur’an. The Qur’an says that he built the Kaaba in Mecca, along with Ismail.

Following Paul, Christian leaders describe Abraham as the spiritual father of all Christians.

The complex relationships between these religions can be traced through their interpretations of Abraham’s life.
