A creation story explains how the universe started, how the world came to be, and why there are humans.

Many cultures have stories describing the creation of the world. In some of these stories, it is made by a god, spirit or other supreme being. In the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic stories, God creates the universe in six days and rests on the seventh day.
