“Prophet” is a word used in different religious traditions for people who convey messages from God.

According to the Talmud, there were 48 male and 7 female prophets of Judaism, starting with Abraham and ending with Malachi.

In Christianity, Jesus was the main prophet. Other Christian prophets are mentioned in the New Testament, both men and women.

In Islam, Muhammad is considered the final prophet. Muslims also recognise many other prophets who came before Muhammad, including Moses and Jesus.
