Christian prayers can take different forms. They can be spontaneous or read from a text.

Prayers may include gestures, like folding hands, bowing the head, or kneeling.

The most common prayer among Christians is the Lord’s Prayer. According to the gospels, Jesus taught his followers to pray using the Lord’s Prayer.

The early Christians recited this prayer three times a day at 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm. Many Anglican and Lutheran churches still ring their church bells three times a day to remind Christians to recite the Lord’s Prayer.
