The New Testament is part of the Christian Bible. It is the most important religious writing of Christianity.

It tells the story of Jesus Christ, his followers, and the beginnings of Christianity. It was originally written in Koine Greek.

There are many different versions of the New Testament. In the most widely-used version, there are 27 texts. Four of these are the Gospels. Most of the others texts are Epistles (letters to early Christian groups).

The Eastern Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant Churches mostly have the same texts. However, they have different orders of the texts. Other Christian churches exclude some of these texts from their versions.
